I would say call them and ask them the dimensions, but I tried that once with a Kroger store. Let's just say there's a REASON some people make minimum wage!
Debi: I'm trying to figure out how much cake I need. Can you tell me how big a cake is to serve 30?
Guy at store: It's a half sheet.
Debi: But how big is that?
Guy: It's half of a full sheet.
Debi: (Big sigh escapes as she thinks "no sh*t, sherlock!") But can you tell me the dimensions? See, we're big eaters and I need to know how big it is so I can see how big the pieces will be.
Guy: I dont' know .... they come in to us already baked.
Debi: Gosh, I really need to know. Can you measure it for me?
GUy: We don't have a ruler here.
Debi: Can you walk over to the school supply section and GET ONE????
Holy cow, I wasn't asking for the entry code to NORAD!! I needed to know how long and wide a freakin' cake was!!! BTW, it took him about 20 minutes to walk over to get a ruler and then figure out how to use it before he came back to me with dimensions.

Publix 1/2 sheets are 2 layers of cake 12x18, but sometimes overzealous decorators cut too much off the sides.
