I printed the copy of a diabetic white cake and it uses 1/2 cup of sorbitol. The regular grocery store does not have it and I was thinking of going to a health store and suggestions?

If you do a search for sorbitol you will find several earlier discussions. Here is one:

Please be careful using Sorbitol. I for one can not tolerate it. I get severe cramping and it acts as a laxative. This is with 2 small pieces of hard candies!!!! The product was Velamints.
Needless to say, I have to check everything for a diabetic to make sure it doesn't have Sorbitol in it.

Health food stores.

And, yes, you want to be careful as not everyone tolerates it. A lot of commercial candies are sorbitol based. It might be a good idea to try one before you spend the time/money on the cake.
