Hi- I might be going to Indianapolis at the end of the month, and was wondering if there are any cake shops (bakeries, supply stores) I should visit while there? Any tips would be great.

Thanks.

There really is only one cake store near the Speedway. Now I don't know how long you are going to be here, there is the Country Kitchen which is up in Fort Wayne (1 1/2 hrs drive) which is really worth the drive. If you want to PM me I can give you some more info on that.

Believe it or not, there is only one cake decorating supply store in the entire city of Indpls (other than the Michael's and Hobby Lobby's, which I only go into for an emergency). Ms. B's Sweet Shop. It's on the west side, right off of I-465. She has everything and is a great lady! Here's her website so you can get directions, etc.... although I will warn you .... when I first got Yahoo Map directions, it took me thru all the side streets before I figured out she's only 2 blocks off of the freeway! icon_confused.gif

I'm on the east side of Indpls, so if I can help in any way while you're in town, give me a holler! icon_smile.gif
