Can I Freeze... Heavy Whipping Cream And Other Dairy????

Happy New Year everyone!
One of my resolutions this year is to cut back on my expenses as much as possible. In doing so, I plan to stop buying my flour, sugar, cream, etc. from the grocery store and start taking advantage of my Sam's Club membership.
With that said, I was wondering if the following items can be frozen? (I want to buy in bulk and freeze)
* whipping cream
* cream cheese
* sour cream

I do not know about the sour cream or cream cheese but I know that in school, the instructor always pulled the whipping cream out of the freezer in the morning so we could use it in the evening.
So, now I always freeze mine when I catch a good sale.

It seems that anything can be frozen.
However, some products require processing before going into the freezer.
Other products upon thawing, lose their original texture but can be incorporated into baked goods.

BTW, I found the info on freezing cream (at different fat %'s interesting).

you can also freeze the WHIPPED cream. When we go down to KEY WEST and get a KEY LIME PIE, they pull frozen gobs of Whipped cream and put on the pie when we tell them we have a LONG drive ahead of us.
When I found that out, I've been doing that ever since.
I add a little vanilla and powdered sugar and whip my cream, pipe it out into large rosettes on a parchment covered cookie sheet and when they are frozen solid, I transfer them to a container and pull them when I need them.

I think you can freeze sour cream also. I have never had good luck with freezing cream cheese. It does usually have a longer shelf life/date on the carton though.

I don't think sour cream or cream cheese can be frozen. Tried both and the consistency upon thawing made them unusable. One of the site that JanH listed http://www.kitchenhelper.net/freezing.html confirms that sour cream cannot be frozen.
This has got me thinking, I have a couple of chiffon pies that I make a lot of, I always thought that they could not be frozen. But, this info makes me think that chiffon pies with a whipped cream at least could be frozen. Now I'm wondering if chiffon pies with a meringue base could be frozen.
Anyone have any experience freezing chiffon pies?

Anyway--another officer's wife bought me three of the huge cream cheese packs. She FROZE the dang'd things before I got them...When I opened them--the cheese was ok, but it was GRAINY. No other word for it. Like little tiny tiny pieces of perfectly round GRAINS of cream cheese.
Now--with that said, I baked with it anyway. I'm no way wasting 15 pounds of cream cheese! And the cheesecakes turned out ok, but they weren't CREAMY like normal. They tasted ok and all---but even THEY were kind of GRAINY like the cheese was before baking.
Just personal experience---and Kraft tells you on the Philly website---don't freeze cream cheese!

I know you aren't supposed to freeze cream cheese , BUT... ( you knew there was going to be a but in there somewhere) I froze oreo truffles and pumpkin rolls with no problems this holiday season.

I don't know... Like I said I have froze them and cream cheese just doesn't work. BUT sour cream if you are baking with it, I have used it and it was fine. Maybe you should try it first and see how you like it before doing the whole bunch of it. I use the sour cream in the cakes so the texture isn't a biggy.

You can't freeze cream cheese without messing up its texture, but once it is baked into something, the baked item seem to freeze perfectly fine. Cheesecake for example freezes very nicely. I've read the same is true for sour cream.
