I am looking for some ideas for a UFC (Ultimate Fighting Challenge) cake. My husband and his friends have parties to watch it every few weeks. They want me to make a cake to match the cage/ring they fight in. Any ideas would be great!

Thanks so much!

You could use the hexagon pan (even though it's an octagon) as the mat and then do chocolate plaques as the ring and put them up on the cake, attaching around. Does this make sense?

My husband and I are HUGE UFC fans....and we have/attend get togethers every time a pay-per-view fight is on! I've made lots of cakes for them, but not really a UFC one! THAT would be a blast! I would try to cut an octagon shaped cake from a square....just print off a paper template to follow in the size you want. I would also probably make royal icing transfers of the "cage" around the outside...and I would make these flat and assemble them with royal icing to each of the corner posts! An edible image of UFC on the mat...or even piped in buttercream would be awesome! You could have it match whatever UFC it is such as UFC 74, 77, etc! Are you making this for the next bout on November 17th?
