This is the first idea I have for this sweet 16 birthday cake for my DIL's god-children. She suggested flowers, music and stars. I don't know, but I though I'd try my had and designing it first. Any and all thoughts will be really welcome!! If you have any better ideas, I'm open to suggestions.

Seriously, I am terribly monochromatic at times. It is too much pink? Should there be other colors. Their Momma passed away this year from cancer so I would like it to be special and "just right".

Very nice, the cake to me would be a perfect cake. You did a fantastic design job. I think that the 16 year old would be very happy to get this cake plus very proud.

Thank you, thank you!!! These girls are so special to us so, well you know, I just want it to be good for them.

The program is not really a program for cake design. I just use MS Office Publisher. It has cubes and circles ( Insert tab-Picture-auto shapes)you can use for the layers. I pick the fill colors and adjust the hues. The flowers, musical notes and such are just clip art from MS online that I change the colors using the format option. It's not hard.

Maybe, if anyone wants, I can do a quickie tutorial on it. It's not as wonderful as the cake decorating software that's out there, but if you have MS Publisher or any other publishing software, then you can do it too.
