I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with this I can come up with a couple of cake flavors but get stumped on the fillings and frostings
Here's what I've got so far

Butterscotch cupcakes with Butterscotch Maple Frosting and maybe a banana cream filling. Would this be too much?

Pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cream cheese frosting, can't think of any filling to go with this.

and that's all I've got, any opinions on what I have so far or anyother suggestions?

All of your flavors sound great but, I think that 3 flavors going on in such a small thing as a cupcake might be a bit too much.

What about carrot cake with cream cheese icing for the third? Or you could do a spice cake with cream cheese icing. I would just fill the pumpkin with more of the cream cheese frosting. Oh, what about sweetpotato? Im sure you could either find a recipe or create on using another as a guide. It would be different. And you could always do an apples and cinnomin cupcake with vanilla buttercream! Pear comes to mind also. Ok, Im done!!!

Apple with a caramel buttercream would be yummy and I love pears, I'll have to think of something for that. Thanks for all the great suggestions.

I love french vanilla cupcakes with a cordial cherry in the center and topped with chocolate buttercream, or a coconut cupcake with a almond joy in the center with a vanilla coconut buttercream, or spice cupcakes with apple pie filling in the center with a caramel pecan buttercream, or wasc cupcakes with cranberrys and a simple cinnamon vanilla buttercream...the list goes on and on...lol

Don't know if you still need suggestions but try the decadent autumn choc spice cake recipe in the forums with a simple cream cheese icing - I used this recipe for cake a few weeks ago and had rave reviews!

CC member Zahrah posted this recipe and it is wonderful and I have to say I am not much of a spice cake fan, but wanted a "fall" flavored cake. icon_rolleyes.gif I'm sure it would work well for cupcakes too!
