I'm trying a recipe that says "grease . . .fill. . .your 10" tube pan". What in the world is that?

Bundt pan or Angel pan. Any round pan with a hole in the middle. My bad - there are square and heart pans now that have the whole in the middle.

Tube pans are the ones you make Angel Food or chiffon cakes in. My mother often uses them for pound cake. They're big, deep, and round with a cone in the middle. Sort of like a Bundt pan, but taller and with straight sides. Here's one:

Ohhh. Thank you. How many cups of batter do these usually take? (I am just wanting to make a 6" round and am wondering if I can halve the recipe)

Most pans say 10 cups. It depends on the recipe if it can be halved. You will need only 1.5 to 2 cups for the 6 in pan.
