This was a revelation to me last night but maybe not to some of you. I just thought I'd share since my only other option for "crush free" vacuum sealing of cookies was to get the new foodsaver.

I had frozen some cookies that I made a couple weeks ago and wanted to package some up to send to my brother. I figured they'd crush if thawed so I tried it when they were still frozen and it worked beautifully, even the rather soft choc chip cookies. They should thaw just fine in the sealed bag!

I guess I'll find out how well this really worked when my brother gets them.

I would love to give this a try with my vacuum-sealer! Please update as to the state of the cookies on arrival, when your brother received them. I live in Texas and have relatives in Maine, it would really be nice to send them gifts with a personal touch!

Thanks...

Oh, I totally forgot about this post! My niece emailed me and said she was not sure what the sealed packages were untill they cut them open. She said they were great and tasted wonderful!!
