Hi hoping someone can help, I need 1st bday cake ideas for my little girl she will be one tomorrow and she is having a big combo party with big brother on Saturday. I am making a Sponguebob squeare pants cake for him, but I don't know what to do for my little girl, I want the smash cake to match, I have seen so many cakes but only a few come up when I search 1st. If you have anything in your favorites or anything you have made. I would love to see it for inspiration.
I'm thinking sweet..... you can see my photos so you can get an idea of my skill level, I also do not want to copy anything I already made.

well the BEST part about 1st bdays is theyre really not for the daughter...theyre for MOM! (I only say this because 1 yr olds have few interests at that age so clearly you are picking a theme for them and, well, 1 yr old probably isnt going to acknowledge what's going on beyond yummy smash cake in face...) So I'd say pick whatever you would love to do 
i think care bear 1st b-day cakes are very cute for little girls... or winnie the pooh...or maybe just some flowers and/or bugs and critters...or a mini castle cake...i dont know but you could get creative!
I have been looking at Boween's website while looking at CC (yes, I'm one of those really impatient people and I have to look at 100 different sites all at the same time 
) and I think you will get all the inspiration you need there! There are some gorgeous cakes on there - especially about 2/3 the way down the page, there are a couple of lovely tinkerbell cakes, and a couple of rows beneath them there are a few 2 tiered 1st birthday cakes. I soooo want to have a baby to make one of those cakes now!!!

There are some of my favorite first birthday cakes for little girls that I've done. Though I do have to say that I LOVE the idea of Gary as a smash cake!!! And I do think a mini stand up bear is cute for a smash cake as well. I've done it several times before. You're cakes look great, so I'm sure it'll turn out fantastic!
My favorite first birthday cake is the classic #1 pan from Wilton. I have done this for several parties in several different colors and themes. It can be super easy or you can add quite a bit of detail to fancy it up. I always make the smash cake to match. I have a couple of pictures in my photos.

Maybe a tiny pumpkin smash cake to go with october? My 2nd daughter is turning 1 soon and I'm doing a pumpkin/kitty theme... maybe gary could have cat ears (costume) or a tiny little pumpkin pail next to him? I don't know, I'm wrapped up in the month of october! lol
