I know someone has an easy way to clean a white crockpot. I bake pinto beans in mine, and I'm scrubbing forever. I've greased the pot before hand to no avail. I've even used Easy-Off which is my old standby when all else fails. Nothing I've used so far cleans it back to perfectly white. What's the magic cleaner that will restore it to make it look like new?

You may want to try Fabulous with bleach. You can get it at the dollar store. Here's a link to how it looks like http://www.usa-detergents.com/page.php?PageID=35. HTH.

You know I have a white crock pot and it just never seems to get completely clean. I soak it in really hot water with dish soap and scrub and scrub and it just won't come off. I've started using those crockpot bags that you put in before you cook in it. I think they are Reynolds. Anyways they work pretty well. I don't have to scrub it after I'm done. I just take the bag out and give the crockpot a quick washing. Definately saves time and energy. You would think that they would make it easier to clean since a crock pot is supposed to be for convenience.

I soak it overnite. And it's still hard to get it totally white again.

I may give those bags a try!

Mine is brown but I get annoyed by all the crusties that always get stuck on from hours of cooking. I might have to invest in those crock pot bags as well. I bought them a little before I moved and never ended up using them and haven't thought about them since.

Great topic......fill crockpot up with water....add about 1 to 2 tablespoons bleach...cover and turn on for about 3 hours ( I Know I hate to keep mine out that long also BUT...) ...you will have NO problem what so ever cleaning it as it all just comes right out. Plus makes it whiter! Also...I did the same thing with my white paddle attachment to my KA....made red icing yesterday and it turned my paddle PINK icon_sad.gif so I put in boiling water with a little bleach....gets it clean AND sanitizes(SP) it icon_smile.gif

I absolutely will NOT cook in my crock pot anymore without the Reynolds cooking liners.

They're like $2.79 for 4 of them, they fit every crockpot, and clean up is a dream. Just lift 'em out, toss 'em and give the CP a light soapy wash. LOVE!!

Bleach - I soak my stuff in bleachy soapy water.

I also am a fan of the crock pot liners - it's an extravangant addition to my budget but sooo worth it.

I'll definitely invest in the crockpot liners. Those things cost about 25 cents or less to produce.

Does anyone think the Mr. Clean Eraser might work?

Probably would work, but I would becareful if someone didn't accidentally wash all of the residue out they could possibly have a really bad reaction to it icon_sad.gif

I always use my magic eraser to clean mine. It gets rid of all the stains. The first time I used it, it removed stains that were there for a couple of years. I make sure I wash the crockpot really well with soap after though, so there is no reside left on it.

go really cheap...pour in some baking soda.
After I soak the pot during dinner. I empty it, use a plastic scrubber to get off the big stuff. Rinse it. Then sprinkle some baking soda in and scrub with a wash cloth. Works for me.
