Hiya, never tried to make one, anyway my oven not big enough. So if i'd have to make one i'd do 4 10inch cakes... so the serving would be 4 times what the 10inch would be which is 50 for sponge and 100 fruit. Hope this helps.

square and rectangle cakes are easy to figure the servings.

There are a few different ways to look at it.

1) if you have a 2 layer cake and want 1"x2"x4" servings then you do the following math.
20"/2" = 10
20"/1" = 20
multiply how many slices you then get from each side 10x20 and you come up with 200 servings

if you want 2"x2"x2" servings then you will multiply 10x10 for 100 servings.

2) I wouldn't be able to fit a 20"x20" pan into my oven so I would need a total of 4 cakes that were 10"x10" to get one layer... wo I figure out how much a 10"x10" cake serves (one layer or two) and then I multiply that times 4 (b/c it will take the 4 cakes to make one large 20"x20"
