I don't need to do much with it...I'm just making turkey cupcakes I saw here for a church potluck we're having tonight. I just need to be able to frost them and then pipe a "blob" of frosting on top for the head. Which one is yummy and easy?

Oh, and these are my first attempt at decorating cupcakes...wish me luck! I'll try to post the picture after they're done. The ones in the picture had candy corn (which I'm not sure that I can find now that it's after Halloween) for tailfeathers and beak. Any other ideas on how to decorate this? I'd kind of like to make them different, but I'm not coming up with anything at the moment.

Use the Wilton Chocolate Buttercream. Just make your regular buttercream icing, and add 1 cup of cocoa powder and two to three extra tablespoons of water or milk. Probably two or less for you since you want a pretty stiff consistency. Oh, and sift the cocoa powder. It is my favorite to decorate with. If you need the recipe I'll give it to you.

I always go to Micheal's and get a tub of wilton chocolate decorating frosting. It pipes beautifully and It's great to add black to if you ever need to make black for a cake. Oh, and it tastes great too.

I have never liked the chocolate buttercream, but I don't really like buttercream either! This is the one I use and I find it very yummy! It's from the Betty Crocker website:

4 ounces of baking chocolate
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup milk

1. Microwave chocolate and let cool 10 min.
2. In mixer, beat powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and milk.
3. Add chocolate and blend.

This recipe makes about 2 cups of icing. You can adjust the powdered sugar and milk to change the consistency, but it makes it medium as is. I really like it because not only does it taste good, but it's easy to decorate with and crusts on your cake so it can be smoothed out. I just made a football cake with it this weekend. I haven't put it in my pictures yet, but will soon.

I just made these for my son's Kindergarten class and they absolutely loved them!!! http://jas.familyfun.go.com/recipefinder/display?id=50291 Very cute! I'd post pictures, but I don't think I took any after making them!

My favorite chocolate icing is the Chocolate Syrup Frosting here on CC. It is very yummy! http://www.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-2033-Chocolate-Syrup-Frosting.html
