Can I Bake Regular Cake In Springform Pan....?

I generally use for cheesecakes but I have two little ones and thought I might use for class cakes.... Don't think I'm stupid.... Just wondered if it would leak or something.... thanks.

I don't think you'll have a problem. It should make releasing/unmolding easier. But, if you think it may "leak", line the OUTSIDE of the springform with aluminum foil. Just mold it to the outside so you don't have any drips. That should hold it all together until the batter begins to bake and you'll be fine!

Actually, I've seen it done before! I might slide a pan under it in the oven just in case. Good Luck!

It probably will leak, but with some parchment paper or foil, you should be okay.

I do it all the time....it doesnt leak on me.....but I still lay the foil down just in case! thumbs_up.gif
