One of my co-workers gave me a Bake and Fill pan today. She bought it ages ago and never used it. She thought I'd get more use out of it thumbs_up.gif Only thing is, I've never used a pan like this before or done any kind of ice cream/pudding fillings before!

Has anyone worked with this pan or a pan similar to this? What kinds of fillings would work best with it? Should I use a denser cake like one would with a 3-D pan?

Thanks for any help icon_smile.gif

hello
Sounds like the Betty Crocker pan.

I have something similar & have used it selveral times. Mine is a bit deeper; it makes a beautifully shaped cake. I have made it as a half ball and I have also made it with the hollow and filled with chocolate mouse.

check out the Betty Crocerk site... there is a video and I believe some recipes. https://checkout.primetimesolutions.net/clients/natex/bakenfill.com/

ciao

I have the mini bake n fill set. they are really cool. I have used regular cake and filled with several different flavors. I made a pineapple cake with a cream cheese and pineapple filling, then chocolate cake with peanutbutter filling. Try a white cake with a strawberry mousse filling. YUMMMM!!!!! My family loves these, because you can put so many combinations together.

They are fairly easy and fun , make a good looking cake, and endless choices. Enjoy! icon_biggrin.gif

yep, I have used it. Chocolate cake and the middle was chocolate ganache, and covered in chocolate ganache. It was very rich and you could only have a small sliver.

YES! Great pan! I've used for sport's balls being filled and 1/2 sized balls NOT filled, laying on green grass look. It's a great cake! You can use half of the pan for anything that requires a dome look ON cakes too! You'll love it!

Nope, I'm using the Philly Cheesecake In A Tub stuff and adding some Bailey's to it to flavor it. I'm slightly horrified by it (I'm a cheesecake purist) but my brother *looooves* it. He bought the ingredients so I'm not complaining. icon_biggrin.gif

Hey I just used this pan about a month ago, and it turned out great! I did just a box mix cake and then filled it with ice cream! I kind of rushed it so the ice cream didnt have enough time to firm up between decorating and slicing, but once it was in the freezer overnight, it was perfect! I like this pan cause even though the ice cream got soft, it didnt leak out because I put a dam of buttercream between the bottom part of cake and the dome part. It is the cactus cake in my photos. I will definately use it again!

Hello again CeeTee

if you check the galleries, you can see one that I made some time ago.

(I hope I do this right) there is the link:

http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=71730

that was a chocolate cake, with chocolate filling, chocolate icing & chocolate fondat. I named it my giante truffle cake.

Hope you like it
