Ok two questions -

Can you freeze these? I searched but can not really find an answer.

What size do you make 3 inch or 5 inch? I was thinking about getting the machine to make 3 inch smaller and probably easier for people to eat compared to the 5 inch.

any input would be great

thanks.

I like the 3 inch. They are easier to eat.

Being that they're rather delicate, I'm not sure I'd freeze them for long. Personally I wouldn't freeze them at all. They keep on their own for a decent time (couple of weeks). I'd be worried that because they're a pretty porous cookie, they'd absorb a lot of odor and taste you wouldn't care for.

cupcake13

thank you for your help. I was thinking the same thing about the 3" easier to eat.

do you ever make the cones or roll and fill your cookies?

I have a spearate freezer for food. When I make some I may just do a test, because I just read something that they get soft during summer and all you have to do is put in the oven for a few minutes to get them crispy again.

Again thanks for your help.

I wouldn't freeze them since they would lose their crispness. These cookies are meant to be crisp and after thawing, would turn soft.

I have frozen pizzelles as a test run before and the majority of them cracked. Sorry that wasn't the answer you were looking for but maybe it saved you having to make them over again.

Don't freeze. Like someone said they will loose their crispness. They keep for a while. I come from an Italian family and the 3" wouldn't do! Go with the 5 with powered sugar on top. Good luck!
