What Filling & Frosting On Cherry Chip Cake?

Hi,

I need help! I am using a doctored BC Cherry Chip cake mix. What type of filling and frosting would go well with this?

Chocolate buttercream or chocolate ganache....like a chocolate covered cherry!

chocolate ganache frosting, cherry pie filling as the filling (may have to be doctored with a little sugar)

When in doubt, use chocolate!

There was a scene from the old Mary Tyler Moore show in which Rhoda was diving into chocolate after some crisis. Mary said to her "RHoda, chocolate doesn't solve anything!" Rhoda said, "No Mary. COTTAGE CHEESE solves nothing. Chocolate solves EVERYTHING!"
