Hello or Hola fellow CCer's I recently tried a vanilla rum cake in one of the popular bakeries here in South Florida and I absolutely fell in love with it.
I was just wondering if anyone has a recipe I could try. I do not speak a lot of spanish so if possible could you post it in English for me.
It was I guess a vanilla cake with butter cream and some type of syrup in the cake very good...Thanks for any help

I didn't try this one, But look good and easy. If you said Vainilla maybe it was a cake mix doctoring. Good luck!!

1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup Bacardi dark rum (80 proof)
Glaze
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup Bacardi dark rum (80 proof)
Cake: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Grease and flour a 12c.
Bundt pan.
Mix all cake ingredients together.
Pour batter into prepared Bundt pan.
Bake for 1 hour and cool completely.
Make the glaze while cake is cooling.
Glaze: Melt butter in sauce pan.
Stir in water and sugar.
Bring to a boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in the Rum.
Invert the cake onto a serving plate or cake stand.
Prick the top of the cake with a toothpick to allow the glaze to soak in.
Drizzle and smooth the glaze evenly over the top and sides.
Allow the cake to absorb the glaze.
Repeat until all of the glaze is used up.
(This will take several applications). Please let me Know....
