Help! I need an idea for an ice skating themed party. I have done small rinks with trees, piles of snow etc. Is there anything else to do or add? I need it to feed 100. Thanks!

on betty crocker web site there is a cute ice skate shape cake but it will not feed 100 so maybe you could make a couple of pair of skates..just an idea..

what about making a full sheet cake that has most of the center to look like an ice rink (a natural one.....like a pond) with some snow and cake glitter around the edges......then maybe have some of the wilton mini stand up bear cakes with little fondant skates on ..to look like they're skating around on it?? Don't even know if this is possible.......just a thought.

I like KHalstead's idea--a large sheet cake with a pond! Some extra figures could be: snowmen/snowballs, kids in a snowball fight on the outer edge of the pond, trees, skates, skaters, sign saying "Danger! Thin ice" w/ a kid poking out of broken ice, kids making snow angels....
Or you could make fondant bears skating around, little snow bunnies standing at the edge...
Just a bunch of random ideas! hehe!!! Hopefully one of them will be helpful!
