I have a bag of Kraft Jet Puffed mini marshmallows, but it says that it's 250g. Is that 16oz? Or do I need 2 bags of these for a batch of MMF?

I am not really good in conversion of weights and thngs like that, but the bag I always use measures kind of 12 inches from end to end. Same size bag that of the powdered sugar. icon_smile.gif

250g equals 8.8 ounces... if you go to google and type in grams to ounces they give you a website to convert any number. Cheers!!

I looked at a converstion chart online and it said that 1 gram equals .0353 ounces. If this is the case you would need 453 grams for 16 ounces. That is if my math is right! icon_cool.gif

Yep, that is right, there are 2 different presentations for MM, the one you have and a 16 oz bag. You need at leats 450 grms or 16 oz to make a whole recipe of MMF. HTH

I have a cook book that claims 8oz=225g. That might explain the problems I have had with my MMF. I was blaming it on the weather.(Hehe)

I also havea a receipe that uses one firmly packed cup of mini marshmallows, 2 tbls water, and 1 1/2 ti 1/34 cups of p-sugar.

Does that sound like a lot of water? I thought the other receipe asks for 2 tbls water?

Hi there, you'll need two of those small bags. There are 454 grams to a pound. Remember a gram really is pretty small so if you're off by 5 or so grams there will be no problems.
