A co-worker asked me to do a cake for his Dad's 50th birthday.

All he said was that he wanted chocolate cake. He told me to do whatever I wanted for the design. I asked for theme suggestions and he mentioned that his dad likes golf.

Normally I would try to keep the design simple since I have a wedding cake due the same day (October 14th).
I really want this cake to be awesome because the co-worker who requested the cake is my boss' nephew and I know my boss will be at the party.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen golf ball cakes in the gallery. How about a ball sitting in 'grass' with a flag marking the hole that says "Happy Fiftieth", and his name could be written on the ball in script like the brand name?

My co-worker looked through the gallery with me and found a cake he likes.

Thanks for the ideas icon_smile.gif
