Can all pyrex bowls go in the oven? On the bottom of mine it just says "no rangetop", and "no broiler". So does that mean I could bake a cake in it? I need a dome shape cake and don't want to carve layers, so I thought maybe this would work. And if is does, what temp and time do I use? Thanks!

Yes, they are baking dishes. You can use them in the oven. I bake in mine all the time.

Good luck!

Thank you. I am just a little nervous. They are the clear bowls. I know I have pyrex baking dishes, which are heavier glass, but these are just clear bowls that came with rubber lids. Thanks again! (I'm still nervous! icon_redface.gif )

Nothing to be nervous about! icon_smile.gif I used my round bowls to make a butt cake (turned out awesome!) Grease and flour well, though to avoid sticking.

You can do it!!

When baking in them how much batter in medium bowl and how long do you bake? Any tips I should know would be nice too.

I can't really help you with specifics. I just filled the bowl to what I thought I would need. (Accounted for the cake to rise and guessed where it would be at). As far as baking, I want to say maybe 40 minutes at 325. I just checked it with a wood skewer to see if it was done. Sorry I can't help you more.
