My son, the imaginative wonder, sees no boundaries for my cake talent. Lol And has decided he wants a monkey cake for his 6th birthday. It is still 5 weeks away, but I want to start brainstorming. Any Ideas? I am a bit stumped this time! TIA!
If you go to the galleries page and do a search for monkey (search function is at top of page under the word Photo Galleries). There are a lot of really cute cakes there to give you some ideas.
I especially like one by carriemyvoice where she stacked 1/2 cake on top of a full round and has monkeys sitting on the 'ledge'.

This was a really simple monkey cake I did years ago for my boyfriend...now my husband. (My nickname for him is Monkey Bum! Ha ha!)
I used the bananas in Runts candies for the top border. The cake was Banana cake with Milk chocolate buttercream. YUM!

I made the animal crackers monkey face cake for a client and they loved it. it was very easy and quick, especially with the triple-star.
