my cake batter and bake it??? has anyone done this before?? Does it work? It sounds yummy, but not sure how the cake would bake up....

I did this once and it came out well. I would just advise you to coat the cookie pieces in some of the dry cake mix or flour so that when you add them to the wet batter they don't sink to the bottom.

Also, I've done this with graham crackers to make a smores-like cake with marshmellow fluff and choc shavings as filling. It came out pretty good.

The cake bakes up just fine!

just make sure to coat the pieces in flour or the cake mix to make sure they don't sink, basically the same as what you would do if adding chocolate chips.
