Hi everyone at CC i'm a bit stumped with this one.

I need to design a cake for a friend of a friend, the cake is for a guy's 21st birthday - so it's a big deal!! They want something to do with racing cars, but it has to be suitable for an adult. Most of the ones i've seen have been for kids.

I'll be doing a sheet cake as it needs lots of servings and I can't do bctf

How do i make a racing track/ racing cars look grown up????

Expensive cars - If you could do a 3d car on top like a Porsche - that would be cool. Do you know his "dream car"? Sometimes it's a '69 Cuda or something.

I don't know if this will help but I did a Dale Jarrett car for my friend for her birthday as my gift. She is ??? old as you can see. I used the car pan with the flags and then a seperate 2 layer cake to go with it. I am just starting out so bare with me. I was very proud of this cake and she was so suprised and loved it. I don't know what kind of race cars he likes but mine is a nascar. I can't figure out how to post them on here but they are in my photos. I hope they can give you and idea icon_biggrin.gif

any guy would love a 3- d car cake...........being that you need so many servings....I would say that putting it on a sheet cake is your best bet.
