I have a recipe for cookies and cream filling that calls for "heavy cream". Is that the same as whipped cream or table cream? HELP!!!

It's actually heavy whipping cream. It's a little thicker than just whipping cream. It does make a difference. I sent my DH to the store for heavy whipping cream and he brought whipping cream. It took longer and wasn't as thick.

that's whipped cream...35%...table cream is only 18%..dont think it'll work

Thanks everyone...I love this site...it's helps keep me calm when things don't go as planned cuz I know I'll always get advice from my fellow CC'ers!

heavy cream contains at least 36-40% milk fat. It's always written on labels, whipping cream has 35% MF. Still searching for heavy cream from where I live. It's hard to find it. I'm substituting WC to HC but you have to be careful. Depends on what purpose it is for. good luck!
