Has anyone heard of this Elite Frosting. HEBgrocery stores offer it here in texas and it's such a smooth and tasty frosting and you can leave it out in room temperature and it's so stable. Does anyone know this recipe. It taste like CoolWhip frosting, and trust me I've tried so many recipes for cool whip frosting and none are stable enough to use as decoration (shells) (roses). But for some reason the one in that grocery store is, even to add color to it and it still looks and taste great. Does anyone know this recipe or a recipe with these effects? I would really appreciate it!!

Id like to know too! Many people eat H-E-B cakes and request this type of icing from me and I have no clue as to what it is, or what kind of coloring they use...I think it has a ton of "high ratio" shortening in it.

I would guess and say it was the same as the bettercreme(whipped icing) that Sam's club sells. Stop by Sam's club and ask them to let you sample it. If it is the same stuff...it runs around 22-25 dollars for an 18lb bucket(it's a lot of icing!). It is similar to cool whip but it can be colored, piped, roses......pretty much anything you can do with buttercream.....give 'em a try.

Nah, they won't give you a bucket. They give you a taste and sell you a bucket.

The Sam's club bakery sells most everything they make, in case form...but not the decorations for the cakes or cupcakes.
