I just was sent an arrangement of cut fruit made to look lile a flower arrangement today! They are the cutest things and right away I thought of you girls even though it's not cake. Many of you do cakes plus catering and this is a great idea (even just to bring to the next barbecue you go to) I am planning my brothers 40th party and I think I will use this as an pretty & edible center piece. I was also thinking I could do this with vegies as well!
Here is the site they ordered from.

And a pic of what I am talking about. They simply stuck a head of lettuce (not cut up) in the basket and skewered the fruit on wooden barbecue skewers and stuck it into the lettuce.... TADA! Oh yea it tasted great too!

I've seen these before, not only with fruit but with veggies too! We get a catalog at work called LTD and this issue had a set you could buy with the tools and insrtuction book... I've been thinking about doing it because they sell for so much $$! hehehe..

I found this a few years ago. I think she said she just used a cookie cutter and a paring knife...OH, HECK!! I'm sorry, I didn't notice this was last year.
I have no brain.
Delete this if you want.
