Are you asking about the Cake Mix Doctor?

You can go to www.cakemixdoctor.com for recipes.
She has several books on doctoring cake mixes.

P.S.--Welcome to Cake Central!!

She has some pretty good recipes too! I have the 1st book & I've made several of the recipes. I use her sour cream cake for my wedding cakes. Everyone loves it! Those books are a very good investment!

Turtleshell,

I see that you use the sour cream cake from the cake doctor book. How does it stand up with tiering? I am making my first wedding cake and have the Cake Docs book but was not sure how well the recipes would hold up with tiering them.

sundine2~
It is great for tiering or stacking. It's very dense (hope that's the right word, I have a headache & can't think right now). It is close to a pound cake but not as heavy. I use it for just about all of my wedding cakes unless someone wants something else. It's a huge hit! Oh, & it's not crumbly at all. Beautiful when cut & keeps it's shape. Yummy! Oh it has a sweet & sour taste. Can you tell I love it?

I've used the amaretto cake recipe out of the book. I added some cocoa powder to it to make it chocolate amaretto. I also substitute melted butter for the required amount of vegetable oil.
This cake was great for stacking. I used it in wedding cake on July 1st of this year. I didn't have any problems with stacking. In fact it was my bottom tier.
It's this cake: http://www.cakecentral.com/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/12403/candles_lit_resized.jpg
