Try googling David Austen? David Austin? Roses UK ( not sure of spelling )
Think they will have pictures of all the rose types.
Not sure there is one type specifically named as an English Rose - believe the phrase 'English Rose' usually used to describe a particular type of complexion - though am happy to stand corrected!

English roses look like old garden roses a/k/a old fashioned roses. The growing difference is you get the look (more petals and ruffled) and smell of old garden roses, but the growing ease (less disease and more vigorous) like a modern hybrid tea rose. You can check out heirloomroses.com or helpmefind.com/roses to get some pictures. Also, the book "Sugar Roses for Cakes by Tombi Peck, Alan Dunn, and Tony Warren" for instructions on how to make an old garden rose out of gumpaste.
Good luck.
