Help!! Can I Use Regular Food Color In My Airbrush??!!!!

Can I thin down my regular gel food coloring with something and use it in my airbrush? Help please!!

Sure you can, it's an airbrush and as long as it it liquid you can spray it. I spray Luster dust all the time. Use a little vodka. Remember your color will be VERY VERY concentrated.

You know...I was wondering the opposite! Can I use my airbrush colors to color my icing or fondant?! Do ya think? icon_confused.gif

Yes you can!! In fact, if you use black or red airbrus colors...it gives you a great result

I have always been told NO to paste colors used in the airbrushes. They do clog the nozzle. I have use liquid color (McCormicks) when I run out. I would take the nozzle apart and really clean it afterwards. Just to be on the safe side.

I tried it diluting with clear vanilla and it seemed to work fine!
