Okay - I have a bakery boutique, and we are now going to expand and open up a Tea Room, were we will serve 6 hot teas, 2 cold teas and tea sandwiches, scones, french pastries and of course cake!

I dont' have anything creative for a name....My bakery is called "Tracy's Cakes"..........see - not very creative.

I would like to really have a nice name for my tea room and not Tracy's Tea Room.....LOL!!!

Can you please send me some ideas. I will promise to post back what we decide on.

Oh - The decor is English country.....if that helps any.

THANK YOU!!!! I knew this would be a great place to start....since everyone here is SSSSSSOOOOOOOO creative.

Thanks again,
Tracy

P.S. The Tea Room opens June 26th.....

Sorry, am I missing something there? What does that mean "At Last Tea Room?" I don't know that it is necessary to have your first name in the title unless that is something you want to do. I would want something that says this is a quaint, elegant British styled tea room, so ones with humor don't really do it for me. Something more on the order of
Paisley Tea Cottage (walls or chairs covered in Paisley prints)

Depending on the name of the street where it is located, maybe
Winchester (your street name) Lane Tea Cottage

Or maybe Flower Mound Tea Cottage
and decorate with lots of British Cabbage Roses. I would also check antique stores and garage sales for old floral china teapots, cups and trays, also pedestal cake plates with rose decor for little scones, mini cakes, etc. to display in the shop. You could even sell them there.

hmmm...I'm not the greatest at naming things...my last cat's name was J.C. (Jenny's Cat) icon_rolleyes.gif

anyway, I'll try...

"A Spot of Tea"

"Are You Being Served?"

"Tracy's Tea Party"

"The Tea Garden"

That's all I can come up with for now. I'll sleep on it icon_wink.gif

I heart tea. (not a suggestion, my declaration. icon_lol.gif )

The best of luck to you!

"Are you being served" is a wonderful name if you know of the British Sitcom. I LOVE that!

Or, you could call it "Hyacinth Bucket's (It's Bouquet) tea room" but then you would have to have Royal Doultan with handpainted Periwinkles, dontcha know! icon_biggrin.gif

Hey ShirleyW - I am not sure what my friend meant - other than we don't have a tea room in our area - so I am guessing that is where she got the "At Last" from...I didn't really ask.

The tea room is now finished with basic decor. I am going to be selling lots of tea related items. I just went to market and went crazy buying stuff. It was so much fun.

I am going to post some photos of the tea room so you can see it.

I LOVE the names you have come up with. Thank you so much for your help.

I do have a degree in Pastry Arts from a French Culinary school....so my husband had said "French Twist" but I googled it and the name has already been taken.....bummer.

Thanks again. - Check out the photos.

I will be serving 6 hot teas, 3 cold teas.
Black, White, Green and Herbal....I will also continues my bakery, selling custom cakes, wedding cakes, and French Pastries. We are going to be offering private parties and tea gatherings, tea tastings monthly.

Our menu with consist of scones, tea sandwiches served on crossiants and artisian breads, soups, salads, and of course desserts.

We are located in Lewisville, inside an Antique Mall. Oh, and we will be serving lunch only, since the mall closes at 6pm. (Open 11-2)

I think that is all. I will sell lots of things - decor on off the walls, and tea pots, cups/saucers and other related items.

I can't think of anything else to share - with all of that info - I hope it helps to come up with some ideas for a name. I had a few names that my family immediately gave me BIG NO'S on..........lol

That is why I have come to you all for help.

Tracy it is a wonderful space. I don't know what the rents are like in malls there, but here they are so over the top I don't know of anyone who could afford it. This is going to be such a romantic, charming place to go for lunch. We have a tearoom that opened about 2 years ago here Englund's ( the owners last name) Tea Cottage, filled with things like yours. They do offer about 20 types of tea, most are British, but not all. At each table they have little brass fillagree burners with candles inside, your own little teapot sits on top and stays hot the entire time your there. They serve scones with lemon curd, ginger snaps, and then a sandwich and soup menu. Delicious things like Artichoke Bisque , corn chowder, Quiche. I would really say it is more of a place for women to lunch, but I have seen men there as well. They also have a little room for birthday partys for little girls, the Princess room with Alice In Wonderland murals on the wall, crowns on the table, little chairs covered in tufted velvet. Then the wall spaces have great old wooden cabinets, and shelves with all types of china teapots, cups and saucers and tea sets. They sell those as well as packaged scones, gingersnaps and assorted teas.

I wish you great success with your shop and am anxious to see what name you finally decide on.

Hello ShirleyW,
That sounds so nice, if I ever get a vaction, I would love to check it out. I bet it's wonderful at lunch.
Quiche is my favorite...so I was going to do a daily quiche, mainly so I don't get bored...LOL!!!

I have been checking the availablity of the names for web sites, so far only 2 are available.

I have a few more names - so let me know what you all think.......

Clay Manor
Sassy Cups (maybe too girly?)
Tea Lounge

I don't know...I kinda want it to be elegant, but fun, so younger ladies will come.

This I think is the HARDEST thing when opening a business. At least for me anyway...

What a lovely space, Tracy. I'm yearning for some tea and a scone now. icon_smile.gif I really like the idea of a tea room.

I like Tea Lounge also, it's a bit modern but I'm not sure it fits your look. You know? Yours is more of a classic look.
