I hope no one already posted about this, and I hope this is posted in the right section. If not, mods...go aheads and move/remove it.
Anyways...
Went to Joann's yesterday, and I had to stop myself from buying so many things.
I got several party bags for $0.50, so I can use those to bag up cookies.
Got the Topsy Turvy cake pan for $2.97, and also got the NASCAR pan for the same price.
They had the Globe Tiered Cake set for $1.97 per tier.
The spiral fondant rolling pin for $2.97 (they were all out, though)
Truffle and candy boxes for $0.50.
They had several other character pans, but I'm not really into those. I just got the NASCAR because I donate a lot of cakes to cake auctions, and figured that someone would like the NASCAR.
They also had scrollwork cake stands from $7.97 - $20.00, which is a steal, considering one of those was $60.00 originally.
Also, several cookie cutters were clearanced, as well as misc. fondant accessories, and various cake pans.
Thought some of you may want to jump on this opportunity! 
I hit my Joann's this week, got the Dora, Spongebob and Elmo pan's for 2.97 each (don't know when I'll ever use them just can't pass up a bargain!), the Wilton 2006 Yearbook and 2007 Pattern book for 2.97 too. They had the spray colors for .99 and some of the other items oneprimalscream mentioned. I love a sale!!!!
I work for JoAnn's so I'll let you know some info. If it is a red clearance tag it's on sale until we are out. The reason they are cleaning some things out is b/c they are lowering their shelving units...therefore scaling back. Looks like it depends on location as to what they are getting rid of, as far as cake pans go. Some of the candy molds should also be on clearance along w/some fondant accessories. I know our complete sets of oval and heart pans are also clearance. I don't work again until wednesday so I'll have to check to see what is new there. I always sneak back there a couple times and dream 
Oh and some of the Wilton books should be on clearance.
I just went and most of everything is sold out.
I did end up getting the ceramic pedestal stand for $8!! Also got a couple of heart silicone molds, some wedding party bags and some candy fill-ins. I spend a little over $16! I'm happy! I love a bargain!

HI! I'm new here and just starting to learn about cake decorating. I went to Joann's last week and bought a couple of the clearanced pan sets. I got the round and the heart ones. I also got some of the character pans. I was so excited because those are great prices for someone who is just starting out. This is a great site and I'm glad everyone is so helpful! Thanks!
Another great place I found deals was Party America. I was in there looking w/my 4 yr for b-day ideas. I got 10in featherweight bags for $1, carebear cake pan $2, carebear colors and superman colors $1/each. Just random stuff SUPER cheap. That was probably 2 months ago, but if you ever find yourself in the neighborhood of a Party America or Party City, might be worth checking out.
Oh! I also bought that silicone heart mold!
There were other things, like cookie cutters/candy making supplies, but I either:
A) already had them
or
B) had no use for them
I wish I would have seen the heart pans on sale...
Oh yeah...there was also silicone bakeware for around $3 as well.

Man!!! I may just have to go over there tomorrow!! There is one close enough to me to warrant the trip! Shoot!!! I am in trouble now!

I checked the web site, and there was not any cake stuff on sale. Also, I went to 2 stores and they were all sold out. They had had the heart pan set clearanced to $7.97 (normally $34.99). I bet whoever saw that great price bought them out... I missed out, oh well!
I also saw the clearance at JoAnns. Lots of things gone by the time I found it. I bought the oval pan set and a few things that were not on clearance. I had my 40% coupon for the stuff not on sale. When I got home I realized the guy had taken 40% off the clearance pan set. I paid $11.00 and change for the oval pan set. Cool Deal. Must have been a new guy!
Well...I believe if the item is clearanced, it no longer registers as a 'sale' item, because they changed the price in the system. So, the clearanced price is now the regular price, so the 40% off works!
OMG! Thank you so much for posting this thread. I drove for over an hour to get to the 1 Joann's that sells cake stuff in MA. I got there and they still had quite a few things...
I got 6 cans of the spray mist for .97 each, alphabet & number fondant cutout set for 3.97, the course 3 kit for 4.97, the class book for .97, 14 inch featherweight bags for 1.97, 3 pans (dora, spongebob, and elmo) for 2.97 each and the comfort grip star cookie cutter for .97!!!!
So for 33 bucks I got $114 worth of stuff! and I never would have know had it not been for this thread!

Sounds like the other Joann's had some better deals than the Visalia one did. I love the color mist, and I need the number/letter cutouts, but those weren't clearanced here.
I forgot to mention I got the mini bundt pans for $0.97 as well.
Thanks so much for the tip. I popped into the local JoAnn's yesterday & picked up a bunch. The oval pan set was $9.97, silicone bundt pan, 9" square & round were$ 2.97. A couple of the shaped pans were $2.97...horeshoe, animal face, a tier cake display $17.97, assortment of pillars I think were .97, Wilton 07 pattern book I think 2.97 or .97 For a clearance of that size, there was still a lot left-I saw at least 8 more oval pan sets.
If someone wants a pattern book & your local JoAnn's doesn't have it, let me know and I'll run up, buy some & pop them in the mail. I live about 1/2 mile-so it's really not a big deal.

They were completely out of the heart tiered-pan set here, and the one here never carried the oval tiered-pan set.
