I'm doing the toffee crunch cheesecake recipe out of The Cake Mix Dr. and it calls for chocolate sweetened condensed milk. I can't find this. Any way to make it from regular sweetened condensed milk?
Thanks!

Chocolate Sweetened Condensed Milk Recipe
I found this recipe online.

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares

I assume you just melt the chocolate squares and add it to the milk. Sounds easy enough to give it a try.

Also found this.

would add on petitesweet's recipe (thanks for the info!)...

eagal brand gives tip that can use either 2 oz unsweetened chocolate squares OR 1/4 cup cocoa powder.

(personally, I think the melted squares would blend better)

I remembered seeing chocolate sweetened condensed milk before. I think we found it at a dollar store. But this was a few years ago. Your best bet is to try a very large grocery store and see if they have it.
