Dream whip is in the grocery store with jello and puddings. It is whipped dessert topping mix. It probably won't be in the cake stores.

Dream whip is most easily found in the grocery store near the jello and mousse mixes. It is a powder that you normally mix with skim milk and whip as an alternative to using real dairy whipped cream.

I second, third, forth something lol I agree with the above icon_wink.gif I found mine in the grocery store, it's in all of my local stores in the same isle with the jell-o and puddings. In one store it's above everything with the pie crusts and in the other isle it's up with the Marshmello Fluff stuff icon_wink.gif Good luck in your search icon_smile.gif

Oh and it's not very expencive it's only $3.~ something for a large box in my area icon_smile.gif

I always see Dream Whip and was wondering what is the difference in usung that versus regular Whipped topping if you have to add dairy to the Dream Whip? Just wondering, I hope it's not a stupid question.

If you have access to a Gordon Food Service, you can get an institutional size (bulk) powdered whipped topping for cheap. icon_smile.gif

Here's what the Dream Whip box looks like:

Chances are if you find the Dream Whip in your local grocery, they will also have their own house brand (cheaper) which is usually just as good.

Badeerah, the whipped topping is more convenient to store (doesn't require freezing or refrigeration) and it's more like real whipped cream since you can add whole milk or even 1/2 & 1/2 to reconstitute.

Also, the whipped toppings like Kool Whip don't really contain dairy, usually just high fructose corn syrup, fat and emulsifiers.

Thanks JanH for the photo I needed a visual. I can honestly say that I have never seen that in the markets in my neighborhood. Would it be in another aisle besides the baking aisle; it's not in the jello section?

At the Walmart near me, Dream Whip is together with the jello and puddings in the baking aisle.
