Hello There! Does anyone know what Super fine sugar is and where I can buy it? I have looked in three of our major food stores with no luck. Is there a way to make this type of sugar yourself? ie: putting granulated sugar in a Cuisinart and letting it run a while.?? icon_smile.gif

Some grocery stores carry it in one pound boxes, and you can find it in some liquor stores. You can create it by putting granualated sugar in the food processor. Superfine just helps it melt faster.

It is also called bar sugar. If you live in Dixie Crystal Sugar H@(( like I do - it doesn't seem that Dixie Sugar makes superfine sugar and the stores don't carry it. Domino sugar packages it in 1 pound boxes but Publix and Winn Dixie don't carry it. Some Food Lions do, but not all. It is easier to find up north, than in the south. I guess because it clumps into a solid rock even in the cellphane wrapped boxes it comes in.

Just whirl your regular sugar for a few seconds in a blender or food processor just don't do it too long or you will have powdered sugar.

I have purchased superfine sugar at whole foods. It's also called caster sugar. It does run a bit more expensive that regular sugar.
