I read a thread today about the movie "Because I told you so" and it got me thinking about cake movies.
Are there any good movies out there about cakes or decorators?
I borrowed out the movie "Cake" with Heather Graham in it because I thought it would have lots of cakes etc in it ..but not one!
Are there any?
the new movie with Will Farrell is out on video. My cousin told me the girl Gyllenhal whatever her last name is well her role in that movie my cousin says it reminds her of me cause I am cake obssessed. I don't know any cakes movies
In "The Perfect Man" Hilary Duff's mother, played by Heather Locklear, is a cake decorator. She alway holds the pastry bag like, well, it's just funny.
The movie with Will Ferrell, "Stranger than Fiction", was absolutely wonderful. And Maggie Gyllenhaal's character is a baker who bakes for the sheer love of it.
There's an "artsy" type movie called "The Great New Wonderful." It's about post-9/11 New York City and one of the story-lines is about 2 competing cake decorators. It is very interesting and has a good twist at the end.
And the cakes they show are AMAZING!
