Or, how about a miniature moving box? Could be simple, even with some writing on the side/top, i.e., 'fragile', 'glassware', or i fyou want to be funny 'lingerie'...

What about a welcome mat? You could just do a sheetcake, covered in butter cream grass with a big fondant welcome and some fondant flowers. I can't find a picture of exactly what I'm looking for, I could draw it though. PM me if you're interested

I just did a cake for a house warming shower this past weekend. My aunt bought a new house and her daughter was throwing the shower and wanted something a little different. She wanted a house with a pool and she wanted it to resemble her mothers house. All she told me was that the house was a pale yellow with light blue shutters, a dark brown front door, a blue tile patio, and a pool. She also has a chocolate lab, Hershey, who is like her other child. Anyways, here is a pic of the cake. They LOVED the cake!! I have better pics that I can email you if you'd like to see them.

You can also make a whole house cake out of 8" squares cut and stacked and trimmed, which is adorable. I've done two houses and a barn, and they were really cute. I don't have them scanned in to show you though. Got the idea and directions from Sylvia Weinstock's book Sweet Celebrations. Pretty easy and very cute.

I once did one that was a flowery Home Sweet Home sign and it turned out real cute.

I have two ideas...One is that you could try to do a cake that looked like the actual house, or you could do a sheet cake with a house in a frying pan and write something about it being a house warming (very cheesy but depending on the company, it could go over really well).
