Help, I told my neighbor I would make a girlscout cake for her because her daughter's troop os bridging from daisies to brownies so I am making a daisy cake and brownie cake and I want a bridge to separate them I woudl like to do an edible bridge. does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks

How about chocolate or royal icing? I think that could work..

ok great, I have never added gumtex to fondant is there a rule of thumb as to how much needsto be added?
Thanks!

I did a bridging cake - take a look. Made a bridge out of fondant w/ a tiny bit 1/8th? of tylose added. Or you can make it way ahead w/ plain fondant and let it dry.

thank you that cake is so cute! How many days ahead of time did you do the bridge.... the cakeif for Friday afternoon if I make it today do you think it will be dry enough?

if you're adding gumtex or tylose, it will harden overnight. If straight fondant, I think you'll be ok by Friday. (It depends on the humidity where you live). I'd let it dry for a day on the form you're using, then take off and let dry on it's side to get the underneath to dry.
