I have made Faberge eggs out of cake using an egg shpaed cake pan but I was wondering if cookie dough would work........ kinda like the sugar eggs that people make for Easter. Has anyone tried this?

I might try it this week.

I've never tried this but would wonder about the cooking time since cookie dough is a little more dense than cake batter but I hope it works for you

I have a number of books on Gingerbread, and one of them uses the rolled gingerbread cookie dough and covers the egg shaped pans (the pans with 6 or 9 egg shapes in them) on the outside of the pan and makes faberge eggs out of them like that. (Does that make sense?) My guess is any rolled cookie dough would work as a sugar cookie has a different flour/sugar ratio which spreads more and wouldn't work as well. But that's just a guess.

I agree, on the outside of the pans, making a hollow cookie.
