Left Over Cake Crumbs Made Into A Cookie

I am looking for a cake crumb recipe. I save my left over crumbs.
I have eaten a cookie that is made from cake crumbs at Andre's Swiss Bakery in Kansas City. Let me expain what it is like and see if anyone has a similar recipe. On the bottom is a cookie, kind of like a butter cookie. Then chocolate cake crumbs seem to be mixed with some kind of liquor and some kind of icing. This concoction is piped on top of the cookie base to look like a mountain. The cookie base is about the size of a poker chip or a little larger. Then there is some kind of chocolate icing is poured on it that looks kind of like "petit fore" (not sure of the spelling) icing. It tuns a little hard and is shiny. Then just on the top of the peak, shiny white icing is poured over it that looks like white snow on the tip of a chocolate mountain. The end result is crispy on the outside, great cake, buttercream, liquor and chocolate cake inside and the cookie tastes like a shortbread cookie but is not thick. Does anyone know how to make these? Cake Crumb Cookies
You'll Need:
1 cup shortening, 1 cupsugar, 2 eggs, 3 cups cake crumbs (ground fine), 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, dash of salt, 2 cups uncooked oatmeal, 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Mix ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350o
Cake Crumb Cookies ala Briggs
You'll Need:
2 eggs, 1 cup milk, 5-7 cups cake crumbs, 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup melted margarine, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 3/4 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pinch ground cloves, 2 cups uncooked quick oatmeal, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Beat eggs and milk: add cake crumbs and let stand 15 minutes. Blend in sugar, margarine and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, salt, and spices and add to sugar mixture. Fold in remaining ingredients. Drop 2" apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes at 350o
Spice Cookies
Makes approximately 5 dozen
You'll Need:
3 1/2 cups white or yellow cake crumbs, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 cup shortening, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon Allspice, 4 egg yolks, 6 tablespoons cold water, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Pplace cake crumbs in mixing bowl and beat until fine crumbs. Add remaining ingredients except nuts and raisins: beat well. Stir in nuts and raisins and drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350o for 10 - 12 minutes or until golden brown. Add more cake if too thin. Makes about five dozen cookies.
Variations:
Chocolate Chip Cookies -- Omit raisins and spices and add 12 oz. chocolate chips. (1/2 cup cocoa may also be added if desired).
Chocolate Drop Cookies -- Use chocolate cake crumbs, omit raisins and spices and add 1/2 cup cocoa.
Coconut Drop Cookies -- Omit spices, raisins, and nuts and add 1 cup fine coconut

I found those recipes, but they aren't exactly what I wanted. I want a cookie with the cake and icing on top. Not a cookie made from the cake and icing. Does that make sense, or am I talking in circles?

It sounds like they made the cake ball recipe and piped it onto the little cookies. I bet you could even use store bought shortbread if you wanted, pipe on the cake ball mixture and then cover with either ganache or melted candy melts. They sound delicious. Hi, I am new here so hope it's okay to post. I freeze all my cake cutting and then use them as Christmas pudding balls. Measurments are roughly 500gm any cake cuttings, 3/4 cup cocoa,, 1 cup ising sugar, 150gm melted butter. Beat well together and add rum, brandy or whisky and beat again. Roll into golf ball size and roll into coconut or cocoa or leave plain if going to decorate. Place in fridge unitl firm. I will post pic of them whic are decorated as Christmas puds. If you like them a little crunchy add biscuit crumbs to mixture.

Sounds delicious. Your recipe has me thinking that even if I didn't have cake crumbs, I would chop up a cake to get some. Thanks for the post.
