Need Some Ideas For A Horseshoe/horse Cake

I am in need of an idea for a hoseshoe or horsie cake ideas. I've only taken the Wiltons course 1 and not an expert, yet. 
I wa sthinking of buying the horseshoe cake pan but don't know what to do with it. Another thought was doing a round cake and decorate it with Horsies??? I don't know I'm so confused and need ideas. Any help would be truely appreciated, thanks.

The instructions for it have you mold the horse out of chocolate, take it out, bake the cake, trim the cake so it's flat, ice it, and then put the chocolate piece on top. You could try something like that.

which also has at least one other horse pan on there. Never bought anything from this site, but thought it might give you some ideas/options.

Well my cake is almost done - the horseshoe topper isn't dry yet so I can't add it until tomorrow - hopefully it will dry in time
I'm happy with how it turned out...took a bit longer than I thought - the denim colour was not easy to achieve.
