Baptism And First Birthday Combination Cake

I would do something whimsical for the birthday aspect of it, but definately keep it in a very soft, monotone color scheme for a traditional baptism cake. Perhaps a cream color with a few hints of a baby pink?
What does the girl like? What is the theme? I recently did a baby's first birthday with a Candyland theme and since it was a girl, I tossed the bright primary colors and used very soft muted colors instead...it's in my gallery...

I am in a similar boat. I have my neice 1st birthday/baptism cake to do in July. We have been discussing ideas because that want something elegant yet fun for kids.
Our latest idea is Seashells. The idea is to make the cake in a sea theme and place a Seashell bird bath thingy on top. Hoping the water idea will tie the two together - it being a summer outdoor party & baptism. Of course we would us pastel colors and make it more calming than crazy.

You could do a cupcake tower, I just did a butterfly one for a christening that is in my photo's. It has a butterfly shaped cake for the top then a couple of layers of cupcakes with small butterflys on them.
you could make one of the cupcakes different to the others with the babys name and one candle on it as her birthday cake. She will have many birthdays but only one christening so I would make the bulk of the cake christening related!

cute socake! you did a great job on the tower and everything!
