Does anybody out there know of any cake decorating suppliers in the St. Pete/Clearwater area? I know of Michaels and Joanns but there has be some place else to purchase things that are a little more cost effective. I am looking for a place where I might be able to purchase everything. Please let me know if you know of anywhere or anything. Thanks in advance.

Hello Emmyd, here are two shops in Tampa that I use. www.thehoneybeeshop.com thats near Busch Gardens and www.cakesplustampa.cpm that one is on Kennedy Ave. Good luck as the pickings are slim in our area. Cheffie icon_biggrin.gif

Thank you so much for that info. Upon a phone call to my sister she knows exactly where it is and I have a feeling that we will be making a trip sometime this week. Thank you again.

I hate cakes plus. Although they have cake supplies, the owner is somewhat offish. Maybe she is just shy, but definately makes you feel uncomfortable.
Honeybee's the lady is really nice. It is a bit farther out there for you. They have some good classes there for gumpaste.

Yes the lady at Honeybeesis very very nice ,Marilynn I think thats her name is in mourning . Her husband just passed away a couple of weeks ago. So now she is trying to hang on to the shop while going through that. Any patronage of the Honeybee shop I am sure will be appreciated. And yes I have felt the same about Cakes pPus but the younger people who work there ie: her son etc: are very nice, I just start talking to them and they loosen up and converse well with me. Good luck. Cheffie icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif
