Hi, My friend wanted me to make her a "Better than Robert Redford cake"? Any one know what is in it? I would be curious to try and make it.
Thanks,
Kim

I was curious myself. A quick search turned up this site:
http://www.cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-0,robert_redford,FF.html
The have 226 recipes for BTRR cake. I have yet to try them but they do look good.

Thanks Joe, I just checked out the site. So its not really a cake but a layered dessert? Maybe if I am ambitious I will make it soon. It doesnt look that difficult to make. I am kinda dissapointed its not a cake.
If any one tries to make it, please let me know : )

Kimmie, did you scroll down and look at any more recipes on that page? #8 in particular, it is a cake, not the same as the first ones listed. I ask only because we were just discussing this at work the other day, because we'd all heard of about 4 different versions of this, and most of the gals had referred to it as a "better than sex" cake!
I have had both...the layered dessert with the baked crust then cream cheese and pudding layers--it is really really good, very light, not too rich, and you can use low fat/fat free cool whip and cream cheese and sugar free pudding mix to make it a little lighter! And the german chocolate cake with the caramel and such (# is way tooooo rich! For my liking, I should say! It is just so rich, my mom makes it and I can barely eat a couple bites. It is just a really ooey gooey kinda dessert!
Hope this helps, maybe you can ask which one she was referring to, at least!

I imagine the cake turned out great by now, but I just seen the post.... I like RR but I think his name wouldnt do any cake justice.... Now Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Tom Selleck, George Clooney....you couldnt make a cake better then those fellers!!!
