In what recipe ? Do you have unsweetened chocolate in the house, because you're going to need to adjust the sugar as well if you only have sweetened chocolate.

All this chocolate talk is making me crave brownies.

From the side of the Nestle cocoa powder container:
Chocolate Conversion - 3 level Tbsp cocoa powder = 1 Tbsp shortening or oil +1-1oz square unsweetened baking chocolate.

I'm not sure about the sugar since you only have sweetened chocolate. If it were me I'd subtract a tsp per oz of chocolate used but maybe someone else has a better idea. I'm always improvising and making stuff up lol.

okay, semi-sweet chocolate is basically cocoa powder plus fat plus sugar, so depending on what you are trying to make, basically substitute 2 oz of chocolate for each 1/4 c. of cocoa, and subtract 1 T of fat for each oz of chocolate you use. Adjust your sugar accordingly ( semi-sweet chocolate tends to be about 35-55% cocoa solids and the rest is sugar)

I could do the conversion for you if you'd post the recipe.
