I am sure this information is posted somewhere but........anybody know of some good cake supply stores in Houston? Hubby wants to go in May for some kind of car race. I agreed to the trip but only if we spent the day looking at cake supply stuff!!!
We're planning on going May 12 and 13.

There is Make-A-Cake( off of 59 and Hillcroft). Also in Sugarland the is Cake Crafters(on Hwy 6 s). Of the two stores I prefer make-a-cake. Both stores are on the web too.

Cake Craft Shoppe in Sugarland (southwest of Houston)
Make A Cake and Amazin Cakes are both on the Southwest side of town.
We hit all 3 this weekend! It's fun to see the different things that different stores carry!
Cake Craft Shoppe has a ton of fondant and gumpaste cutters and a lot of import items.
Make A Cake and Amazin Cakes both had a HUGE selection of the plastic layons and toppers, and they both carry a lot of cakestands and plateaus.
PM me and I'll get some addresses and maps for you if you'd like!

Thanks mommymarilyn, I didn't know about amazin cakes. Will have to check that store out. Hopefully i can do it on my lunch hour.

Barbara Ann - Amazin Cakes is right around the corner from Make A Cake! I couldn't believe how close they are!

Thanks mommymarilyn, it looks like i will be going there on my lunch hour. i work at 290 & 610, so it shouldn't take me long to get there.

S & J cakes off 1960 near Steubner is a nice small one. Not real big but sells some stuff.
