Hello to all!
Does anyone know where I can buy a nacho cheese machine cheap? The machine that holds cheese for nachos and keeps it warm and you can just pump it thru a nozzel on the top? I have checked eBay and good grief they are expensive!
I am needing one because every 4th of July me and a couple of coworkers get together and sell hot dogs, nachos, etc at the 4th of July bash that our small town has and we donate all the money to the Childrens Miracle Network.
The last 2 years we have used a crock pot to put the cheese in but is is super messy and I have been looking for the cheese unit with the pump to make it a bit eaiser, but since this is charity the money is comming out of my own pocket and I can afford to spend a whole lot. So does anyone know where I can find one or 2 (would love to have one for chili also) very reasonably priced?
Thanks for any help!

Sonya--look around for used kitchen equipment suppliers in your area. I've seen lots of these being sold refurbished or used at such places. Also, you can rent them at a lot of party rental supplies places for like $1-5/day. That would probably be the most economical choice, unless you can find a good deal at the kitchen equipment shops. Also, I've seen them at GFS (Gordon Food Service), but I don't remember how much they were.
You could also check around to see if you can find someone that is selling off their carnival supplies (retiring?). Oh, that reminds me that I saw a carnival supplies website a while ago, I think it is based in OH. They sold them there new and used as well. I don't remember the site, but if you google it I'm sure you'll find it.
Good Luck! I hope you find one to use for your charity work!!

I know this auction already ended, but I just wanted to show this one too you. It looks like it would work perfectly. Did a little research on it though and it looks like it originally retailed for $4,000 and the only other two I can find online are between $400 and$600 dollars.
Not sure what your budget is as I found dispensers ranging from $200 up to the thousands.
I will keep an eye out and try to come up with other places. My suggestions was going to be restaurant equipment suppliers also. I know there are a couple places in chicago that have a lot of refurbished equipment.
Hope you find what you're looking for.

Cande's idea of going to party rental places is great! The ones who rent big tents, chairs, bounce-house things, etc. I bought a popcorn machine from a place like that for $75...the big, tall, tabletop kind that makes a TON! Those things can be outrageously expensive. It was old, but still worked fine and they were just updating their equipment...wanted to have pieces that looked better is all, really...lol. They'd had some of their customers start complaining that certain pieces of rented equipment looked 'worn out'...though they worked perfectly well. So call around and ask....tell them what you're doing and why you need it...you never know - someone may GIVE you one!!
