Question?? What do most of you use on your chocolate cakes? Unflavored syrup? Is there a chocolate simple syrup recipe that works to enhance the flavor as well as keep my chocolate cakes moiste? I suppose I could try godiva liquer... but dont want to do too much experimenting on my expensive stuff. Thanks for sharing

I use creme de cacao or Kahlua in my simple syrup for chocolate cakes. MUCH cheaper than Godiva!

I have not tried this myself but was wondering if anyone else has...

Have you ever tried making a simple syrup out of water, sugar, and cocoa powder? I wonder if you could pull it off...I think you could...I might just have to try it if no one else has done it yet...

Have a good one,
Robert

For chocolate, I just use vanilla syrup - same as my white cakes.
