Hi everyone. There was a discussion going on a few days ago about the safety of using the Hunt's snack pack pudding as a cake filling and leaving the cake out at room temperature for a few days. I did contact Hunt's and I asked if it was necessary to refrigerate the pudding once it was opened or if it could be left out at room temperature for a while. I was informed that under no circumstances should the pudding be left out at room temperature once it was opened. I was told that if it were not consumed immediately, that the remainder would need to be refrigerated icon_cry.gif I was hoping like many of you that I would get a different answer but I guess it is what it is. Just thought I would keep you all up to date.

Thanks for that info, butternut! I haven't used them, but it is good info to have for later. I guess if I had a last minute cake to be consumed immediately after finishing on the same day, it could be used. But why take the chance, right?
